is it hard to remove the egr and manifold? Do you mean inlet or exhaust side manifold?

Have you got any guides how to get them off? Looked at darkside website and the egr delete is only £75 which is pretty cheap! My brother is pretty handy so might be able to do it!

This was the egr delete pipe i was looking at

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/2-0-16v-tdi-pd140-pd170-egr-delete-race-pipe.html

and possibly this aswell if required

http://www.darksidedevelopments.co.uk/products/2-0-16v-tdi-pd140-bkd-egr-cooler-delete-pipe.html

This was the source of the whistling turbo

They replaced the pipe and i got half way up the road and it started running very lumpy and wouldnt rev much  :scared: :scared: :scared:

Turns out he hadnt tightened the "jubilee clip" up enough so all sorted now  :pomppomp: :pomppomp:

Also got some key covers

Glad you got the leak sorted. I've too been looking at the egr deletes. Might treat myself somewhere down the line. Have messaged Darkside on facebook for a few more details.

:happy2: the pics on Darkside are of my car in the engine bay  it was the first one prototype design I also have the EGR cooler delete.

If you are reasonable with a spanner  then you'll do it easily but its not fully documented how to do the cooler and its fiddly I certainly wouldn't do another one :fighting:

well ive just got in from finishing off my brothers car!

How did you get the chrome front off without taking the badge off! I've been trying the get the badge off but it's just impossible to removed the plastic on the in side of the boot, so the only way would be to just take the chrome off in position!
Thanks

It was really easy! If you flip the badge as if you were going to open the boot, there is a thin tab where you can get a pick in or use a firm card that wont bend, ease that up and off then the badge is just got sticky sided tape and little clips in. Took us 5mins!

I took the car to get its tracking done as the steering wheel has been cock eyed of the right for a bit. After they have done it the steering wheel is now pointing to the left  :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

They have also scrapped the drivers side wheel in 4 places and taken all the paint off it. The manager is giving me a call on monday. Not happy!
