Apologies for ressurecting an old thread but will these fit the standard GT/GTI lower control arm? I see it has already been asked but the answer wasnt too clear...

Anyone tried it?

RS3 or TTRS Spacer 'tube' required?

TIA

Regards

Dave

YES

Some slight modification to the plastic shield required.
If you have a second nut you don't need the alloy spacer tube at all.

Thanks for that, so use a lock nut instead of a spacer tube.

Some slight modification of the plastic shield? Hack saw trim job?

TIA

Guys, did any of you test the RS3/TT brake ventilation elements?
From the pictures I can see that the air is directed upwards. Are these elements also directing the air towards the brakes also?

OK, than I will wait for the bruce's feedback.

Meanwhile... can you guys please tell me if we need both the vent and the dust cover?
From the picture below I think we only need the vent. Where is the dust cover?

You don't need the RS3 dust shields (for 370 mm rotors), but it's a nice basis for some DIY work
to protect the ball joints from heat.

The air flow under the front is some kind of a 'V'-shape from the center to the wheels on almost
all street cars. On the sides of a car there are low pressure areas. That's why the airflow inside
the wheels is allways from inside to outside.

This element focusses this air flow directly to the brakes.
