I don't doubt.

The difference won't be huge, but I hope to change my front springs in
a few weeks and that's good opportunity to fit new bearings and mounts.

I picked the vent parts up today and fitted them, they go on very snug and once tightened up they're not moving from that spot.

Not sure Im the right person to give you any feedback but we have a nice half mile straight road outside my work, owned by network rail so its private, easily do some brake warming on there  :happy2:

Will get some pick of them fitted tomorrow

Very nice Darren, and very purposefull. I just wonder if you can earn a penny from the road ministry, with all the snow you will remove out through the wheels this winter   :booty:

Joke aside, this and removing the dustshields should make the R32/S3 brakesetup capable of a lot more abuse than what they can stock due to the heat dissipation.

Over the top mod list ;o)

 :happy2:

Morty, there has been some rubbing to the drive shafts?
You have fitted the S3 arms and spindles. Hard to see,
but have you fitted the correct nut to the steering rod?
I did the mistake first to use the old standard GTI nut, that
was not suited for the alloy spindles, so I had to retrofit the
sorrect S3 nut. Same for the ball joint.
I wouldn't lift the car under the rear arm bushing mount again.

I had the car on coilovers and it was very low, the rubbing is not recent :happy2:

Regards the nuts and bolts, they all came off the same S3 steering rack and subframe so they should be the correct bolts??

Is there any way of telling??

Sorry I wont do it again :ashamed: I will be getting the S3/TT jacking covers shortly :happy2:

Morty, I can't recognize it exactly on your pics, but it is crucial to
use collar nuts for both lower ball joint and steering rod if fitting
alloy spindles as these have steel inserts for reinforcement.

Are yes the both have shoulders on the nuts  sorry the sounds perverse :signLOL:

But seriously the nuts have a collar on both  i'm positive they do but will make sure tomorrow.

The hub and wishbone came has one so they defo have the collars on the ball joints.
