How do I remove my number plates?

I'm thinking of buying some uk legal pressed plates for my car.  My plates are held in some sort of surround like on the surround section on www.dubmeister.co.uk.  How are they held in place and how do i remove them??

The plate looks as though it is held on with sticky pads and the number plate holder is screwed on should you wish to remove it? HTH  :happy2:

I had to take grill off to get that pesky numberplate holder off, only 4 screws and a couple of clips so not too much bother!   :fighting:

Yeh good point, the no plate holder is held on with clips that you can only get at from the back once the grille is off. The grille is a piece of p1ss to get off though  :happy2:

So just pull the plate off then?? Seems too easy, simple jobs always seem to go wrong  :grin:

Bring it round and I'll get me crow bar out... :signLOL:

It's probably stuck with those sticky pads that fall off when you don't want them too, but are stuck on for eternity when you them off... :rolleye:

Gently lift one end away, or you could try some dental floss (several strands mind) and use a sawing action to remove it.. :happy2:

That's how my number plate AND holder parted company from my car.

If you are only 20 mins away and ever need alloys refurb'd or powdercoated etc, I strongly recommend Nigel at A1 Wheel Renovations. So will Greenouse and SteveP highly recommend them.
