can a car lose its remap?

I had the revo stage one remap a month ago . Yesterday car felt funny, got to about 5000 revs then started stutterring. Happened again tonight and the performance feels back to normal, very slow. I am going to go for a blast in a while but the performance is def down now. It feels like it was when I first bought it. Will see if I get this stuttering at 5000 rpm again, feels like I am hitting rev limiter!!!

Any ideas?

If the battery is disconnected it can if its a revo map

It sounds more like a dodgy sensor

I would have a look at the DV if it's the diaphragm type.

He had that replaced under warranty last month with a Rev D as far as im aware  :happy2:

Nothing has been disconnected.I never knew about meet but I work in London now so after 3 months of daytime tv I decided to get a job lol

In Essex week days and Bournemouth weekends

Shall I contact JKM and ask them, they may know as they fitted map?

Also this warranty I have, do I have to go all the way to poole for any work or can I got to a local VW garage in Essex in weekdays?

The warranty is with breeze buddy therefore they will make you go there

Ah shame mate! Wouldve been good to see you and prove my ED30 really is faster  :signLOL:

haha yeah thing is I was looking at ed30's at vw dealer sites today. If a white one with my spec comes up its mine. After all I need to start using all that redundancy money  :signLOL:

That poxy fan does my head in, it comes on even when the car is cold. I drive 10 miles to the station in morning and it never reaches the optimum temperature.

I have just been out and given it a good ragging, got it too optimum temp and the fan wasnt even on !!! It has a mind of its own!! Went past 6500 rpm with no probs. Maybe its something to do with the fan and the engine not reaching the proper temp!!
