Part numbers.........
« on: June 06, 2011, 09:34:49 pm »
Finally got around to getting my car in for the coilpack re-call today.... like others have said i does seem to drive a bit smoother and more urgent but thats probably due to the car being a 54 plate  :signLOL:

Whilst in my local dealer i spotted a fantastic looking golf R in candy white which had a black roof   looked stunning both inside and out, the first one i've had time to have a good close up look around

Thought i'd go to the parts department and ask about prices for ED30 rear lower valance and front splitter.... The guy could find the rear bumper section i wanted and after i got up off the floor when he told me the price was a staggering £420ish  he tried to find the right front part.... which he had trouble confirming which part it was on his screen.... The part he reckons is it was around £220ish? Does this sound right?

If anyone could help by letting me know the part numbers for these i'd be most grateful  :happy2:

He even had to go onto autotrader and call up an ED30 to see what i meant about the colour coded bumpers from the factory  :scared: and had no idea when they were made or what year to look for!! needless to say i wasn't filled with confidence at my first visit to the VW parts department  :stupid:

Have you tried the search function?

Yes i've tried different combinations in the search function but it just gives me a few peoples ED30 build threads or links to posts on the members rides section that dont include actual part numbers. The rear bumper was obvious on the screen at VW but the front part wasn't so obvious and combined with a guy who wasn't aware of the difference or what i was talking about i'd just appreciate if someone has the part number for the front splitter...

Many thanks
