Uprated Panel filter...
« on: June 15, 2011, 03:45:21 pm »
Will a uprated panel filter give me anything over a new OEM filter on my Stage 1 Edition 30?

Worth it?

.
Not any performance that you'd notice. Possibly a fractionally better throttle response or tiny torque improvement. Otherwise a possibly more effective filtration of debris. ITG flat panel considered one of the best.

On a remapped car an aftermarket high-flow tubular intake will make a much more noticeable difference in power - As much as 15-20 bhp potentially. You might then have to consider an improved fuel pump.

Come on Dom, I'm surprised you haven't got an uprated intake kit already?!
