Hi, Just defected from Honda ownership

Hi all, today I've just gone out and bought a stunning example 07 plate reflex silver GTI with the DSG gearbox.

I'm coming over from owning a Honda Integra DC5 Type R and previous to that an EP3 Civic Type R, both fantastic cars and I enjoyed the 2 years with the Civic and 3 years with the Integra but I'm getting to the stage in life where I wanted more of an all rounder and a little more comfort.

Well today I found out on a long test drive what a different beast the Golf is, more ooomph low down and easier accessable power which made a nice change, vtec is great fun but maybe after 5 years the novelty had worn off, the cabin is a nice place to be too.


I took a manual out later in the day but after using the smooth DSG box for me it couldn't compete plus the car wasn't as mint.

So hopefully I'll have a few enjoyable years driving the Golf  :happy2:

Cheers, the civic was silver too, it doesn't show the dirt so quickly and any swirl marks are harder to see  :smiley:
