Rns-310 anyone used one?

Is it a viable alternative to a 510? Not much cheaper so i think i can guess the answer

..........have a look at some of the after market ones,Pioneer & Kenwood do some great ones & i think have some features the VW ones don't ?.
ED35. Standard factory condition.

I did do a search for it but nothing came up. I know how good the 510 is i just dont wanna stump up the money haha think im gunna have to

Go with the 510  :happy2:

310 has no DVD drive AFAIK, also the new firmware and maps are much easier to get for the 510.

Not that much difference in price if you buy wisely.

my local dealer was doin g it for £995 fully fitted

All my requests now go to Nick who gets them from the same seller has I did so I know the units are in great shape...Nick is a gentleman and will provide anything needed to get it into your car.

And how do you get on with it? Is it a Smaller screen? And can you get ipod and bluetooth connectivity for it

I have one in my Passat (B6 10 plate). It works fine, same screen resolution as the 510 but smaller screen as you said. In my Passat I have the bluetooth touch screen unit, but I know they work with a different form of bluetooth too. I believe you can get them with iPod connectivity - mine doesn't and I've not researched into it yet but tempted so that I can play music from my iPhone.
