Quick detailer
« on: June 14, 2011, 09:28:22 pm »
I think I read somewhere that a QD can be used to aid drying - is this true? If so what would I do load the drying towel with the QD then dry the car or with the car wet apply the QD directly to the car then dry using the towel as normal?

If I'm talking bollox, which is quite often do I dry the car then apply the QD and buff with a polishing cloth?

As always any advice would be appreciated  :happy2:

It's supposed to help disperse the water - so you can spray directly on the car. I tried Meg's Last Touch and it works well at doing this.

Best thing to do after rinsing is try to sheet the water from an open-ended hose. That way, on a recently waxed car, you'll have very little water left.

Then you can spray the cloth with QD and buff the car to a lovely shine!

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
