New wheels.
« on: June 03, 2011, 12:02:08 pm »
Right so here is some pics of my car before swapping over the wheels, and there is photos to show how bad my wheels were and they have been refurbished approx Sept last year and they are shocking it got so bad i couldnt even be bothered washing them when washing the car coz they made me so depressed.

Here goes

The Wheel Damage

As you can see the wheels are crap and they have done that themselves 3 weeks after fitting them from refurb they have slowly got worse over time but all started to crack as shown in pics then eventually the laquer just started to fall off.

So I bought these off Gazon69 after looking at different options for a good few months and here is them fitted.

Well Cuffed :drinking:

Anyone in Scotland looking for a Monza 2 refurb, there is a guy in Perth Diamond Cut Wheels. Steer clear is my advise.

Looking much better, did you get your money or any back from the guy who did your wheels?

Pretty shocking how quickly they corroded

Nope had a bit of a mare actually coz it was my girlfriends dad who sorted it all out whilst I was offshore so they were all shiny ready to fit when I got home, however we were quoted £53 pound per wheel so £212 all in. I thought this was great but when he dropped the wheels off he wanted £360 so he did some argueing and eventually paid £260. When I got home checked them out + I got the wheels on the car all was well but I wasnt convinced on the lacquer it looked a bit milky not 100% clear, then 3 weeks after i was washing it and started to notice these small just a couple to start with hairline crack in the lacquer so I got straight on the phone and he basically said he lost to much money doing the job and wasnt going to provide any kind of warranty on his work and basically told me to get lost.

So I then had a little word with those lovely people at trading standards. :P
