Hello
« on: May 31, 2011, 10:17:36 pm »
Well over the last few years I have owned a mk2 valver and a VR6.
Since then I turned to Imprezas
Currently running this as my daily hack

Doesn't look like much but does an 11.68 1/4 mile  :happy2: It is fully stripped inside and runs a straight cut PPG gearbox.
It is not the most reliable daily hack so going to buy myself something more reliable as a daily hack................. you guessed it a Mk5 gti.
Bought my other half this

and have been hugely impressed it is a GT TDI140. The only thing it lacks is a little more poke which is why I am going for a GTI.

Currently building a 2 door 500bhp/ton Impreza here are a few of the parts for it

I am going to view a 41k mile 2005 grey 3 door GTI on Thu will let you know how i get on

Previous Impreza an RB5 which i still own and is also getting rebuilt to mint condition. It is also a WR sport with every possible facory extra one of less than 100 WR sport RB5's in ze world :D

This is how the 2 door Impreza looks at the minute.

A fair bit of weight removed will be made rolling shortly and will be going away for a full group N weld in cage :)
Engine for this is currently away getting new liners to increase it to 2.35 and fully forged.

Well I went to see a golf last week and..................picked it up today

FSH 2 previous owners and 42k miles. Climate control, cruise control.

Only issue are the alloys are a little scabby (so will be getting replaced)
Rear boot badge laquer is pealing.

Silly question but there is a plug in the back of the glovebox what is it for?

It feels a totally different car to the GTTDI. I would say not much faster but the ability to rev the car nice.

Feels slow compared to the 422bhp Impreza though.

Cruise control is a brilliant thing and will hopefully save me getting any more points on my licence
