There are three unsold on the trader for over 6 weeks now.... I think with that mileage £16k on the nose should get some interest.

Nath, is it not an old car?, non current model and I cant think of another car on the planet with a 75% residual after 32 months.....

Only rare in the eyes of forumites, if you take the forum goggles off its a posh gti in the eyes of the world, anybody who puts big money into ANY Mark 5 is playing Russian roulette imvho, it's out of warranty next time its sold and the ed35/mk7 is a near reality

Don't get me wrong, very lovely, very rare car, nice mileage. But those reasons make it too good to molest/mod which sort of sucks at it's mojo, the KO4 is the ed30's reason d'etre..... you wouldn't "hurdy" a pirelli would you?

Buy this car in 7 years and it would be a great investment...

Apologies to be blunt, wouldn't comment in your for sale thread GLWS

Good points Dave I agree, but having hunted high and low at the end of last year for one of these for Mark I know the good ones are priced very high, and the dealers are also getting clued up on the rarity side of them.

Agree when more are away from the dealer network this may bring the prices down, but they seem quite buoyant atm.

as said above really, we know it's a rare beastie, and not including dealer inflated sale prices.

MK5's are nearly all out of warranty, so i'll still stand by my opinion, but never less, having to sale a Pirelli or Ed30 would break my heart if I had too :sad1:
