S3 or Edition 30
« on: June 09, 2011, 08:38:49 pm »
Sorry if this has been asked before but I've got a budget of £16,500. Do I get a manual s3 or a dsg edition 30. I can't decicde. Is the s3 worth the extra money.

Spend the extra money on Mods to the ED30, you'll only spend it on the S3 in the future

Manual Pirelli, IMO better place for your cash.  Will have better residuals than either the S3 or ed30 in the future.

....Do you always give such importance to residuals when you buy a car, Dave?

I would test drive both Ed30 (or Pirelli if you find one) and S3 before deciding which suits you best.

Would modding de value a pirrelli?  Most things can be put back to standard I guess

Theres a Pirrelli for sale atm on the forum isnt there?

If you don't have to lose £, then don't.

Really  like the Pirelli (especially in silver..........), and apart from trim is the same as the Ed30.

So I like it, it keeps better residuals, they are like hens teeth, therefore makes more sense to me than ED30 or S3 at the present time.

Took an S3 out before ordering the Cupra, loved the feel of better build quality (just all the extra touches) Prefered the Audi interior.

Just couldnt afford the extra ££££ at the time.  Wouldve done all the same mods to an S3.

Love My Leon though.

....I'm curious: If it hadn't got the healthy residuals but you loved its looks and performance, would you have turned it down?
