I prefered the sound of just the downpipe on my car.  makes the exhaust note deeper but not intrusive.  Ruined it when i added the cat back

De-cat with the resonator removed might be the answer... Would be good if anyone was in the midlands Wolverhampton area with an exhaust on that I could meet to hear... Really don't want to shell out £500 and not be happy... I just want that nice cough sound you get on gear change (if that makes any sence) with out it being to loud, and obviously as much power as I can get.... :happy2:

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend DNA Tuning, at roughly half the price of the rest they give excellent figures which are up with the best tuners or better.
The SRS ii option means you can map at home too. I have a Graph in "the Ultimate Dyno thread", this is from a k03 Octavia.

I wouldn't go with Revo, bad customer service and I've seen some dangerously lean AFR plots which put me off.   :fighting:

there's alot of similar thoughts going around at the moment across all the forums.  i do think alot of the issues with revo come as a result of people winding their own settings up to high with the SPS switch

Quite possibly which in my eyes makes it dangerous for people without VCDS as you cannot log the changes.

Spoke to midland vw today, they no longer use revo and have moved to custom code maps, he reckons standard it's a 300bhp map and with exhaust decat and induction kit 330 340 bhp... Sounds good!! He's done around 20 ed30's and said they all go like stink ! So will post a review after it's done.  :happy2:

I have had a little search and to be honest from what ive read so far all seems ok.... also i have a friend with and audi rs6 and one with an rs4 they have both been to unit 20 and had mapping work done, they use custom codes for there maps and have had good results with no problems as to yet.

but im now thinking not a good idea!!! i shall keep reading.. feel free to shed some light.....

i wouldnt touch them with someone elsec car let alone my own.

Id put Shark Performance/APR/REVO/P-Torque on the list of mappers i would use, maybe Jabbasport but the list ends there for me
