Two(?) tier membership with free membership and subscription based?
(1/1)
h4rdy:
Has this been discussed before?
The Mitsubishi Lancer Register has a subscription based package and I think Scoobynet.
Basically, sounds a bit snobby but it has its benefits, run at least a two tier system where the free forum membership entitles you to see and comment on the the basics i.e random chat, general, cars for sale maybe.
The subscription based membership gets you some goodies, discounts, maybe a magazine, but this is a lot of work, and opens up the forum.
I am more thinking along the lines of stopping spammers, people getting ripped off (not seen much, touch wood) and raising funds rather than being a snobby git!

This has been suggested before and we have always said we want to keep it as a free and open forum, and where possible continue to run it on donations only.
The two tier system in my opinion brings more issues than it solves. :happy2:

Am in agreement with Steve on this one.

Members on here are more than happy to pay for Stickers, Calenders, Apparel that membership would pay for.
I Dont think membership would really yield any benefits.
