Haha, no I typed it that way deliberately   It's how my warped mind works I'm afraid

I've had them before in other VWs and they last a long time, so are a good investment  :happy2:   They didn't work quite as nicely as they do in the TFSI platform though.  The R32 especially suffered BADLY with NVH, but the TFSI likes them!

They are easily the best engine mounts out there, imo.   They feel like what the VW engineers wanted to fit, but weren't allowed to.  All of the vibrations the standard mounts cause, are still there and a little more noticeable, but they don't add anything unbearable on a day to day basis.  They've been great in heavy traffic so far.  No one wants tractor shakes at idle when sat in traffic for ages!

Ahahah!

Ok, I'll keep them on my future "To Do" list. :happy2:

I keep forgetting to check that for you, but from memory of my previous VWs, yeah the pedal does sink a bit after a small amount of time. I think it's because the servo vacuum depletes?  You would know if you had air in the system because the pedal would move closer to the floor the harder you stand on it, without much increase in braking effort.   An airtight system should hold a solid pedal (when braking) once all the initial caliper & pad slack has been taken up.

No panic, I'm just curious! I'm fairly sure there's still a small amount of air in the system somewhere but even with that, they're a massive improvement over the standard brakes.

Nice work on your own car, good list of improvements/maintenance in that list.  :happy2:

Lol @ Vibrator techniques!  :signLOL:

Wow! I've read it all too but started 3 years ago when I got my first vw.
It's a pity a lot of it has probably been ruined now with photobucket and their nonsense.

I finished up my MFSW retro-fit :driver: by installing the new steering wheel controller which I got from @RetroRaz

I coded it and its all working, My Android head unit even responds to it.

Hopefully I can get my en-suite finished in the week then I can take out the pre-cat next weekend

Took a few pictures of my current interior setup. Looking for a supplier of carbon work for the panels among other stuff also..

Still need to sort out the 4 wire system from the mk5 passenger airbag "OFF" light to the mk6 2 wire system. But

But getting closer and closer to the goal :driver:

Had cambelt, water pump and cam follower replaced and dsg serviced as I reached 120k.

Think I might have gone a bit early with the cam belt as it's only been 3 years since it was last odne but have done 40k since then.

Is that a MK5 with MK6 interior parts?  I like the chrome edging on the heater vents.  MK6 clocks and steering wheel?  It all looks great!

@Pudding  - Yeah, I've changed the dashboard and center console out with parts from a MK6. Really lifts up the whole interioir instead of the one there's in the  MK5's.

Mk6 R gearstick
Mk6 R MFSW
Mk6 dashboard
Mk6 center console
Mk6 dashboard
Mk6 A piller trim
Mk6 cluster with 3d tiguan base and some other parts..
Mk5 armrest

:)

I've installed the Discover Media 2 unit - it got working CarPlay and all that. The Passat climatronic is also fully functional.

And I'm only getting radio, navigation etc etc on my instrument cluster
