@Pudding look above I've clearly started a sound deadening trend ,

Today I took receipt of parts from Volkswagen and Kufatec for my xenon, auto-leveling and headlight washer retrofit, and fitted the other half of my powerfolding mirror set up which isn't fully work...because of the door module.

and finished coding the mk6 steering wheel in to get the steering assist back.

Once I get the powerfolding mirrors fully working (module won't take code and both mirrors move when adjusting one could be the chinese switch...) I'll be setting about the headlight washer and xenon retrofit.

You need to uncheck a box on vcds that says "mirror adjust simultaneously" or something like that anyway
What's the coding for the mirrors that you are trying?

Just checked
Under Cent Conv, "Synchronised Mirror Adjustment" untick that

Don't add 4096 to the coding, for example mine is 000638, that's including door exit lights and Handle Illumination

Cheers got it, still not operating the back driver door window unfortunately.

Sounds like u might have a seat door module. I know there's issues with rear door communicating to the ccm when a seat leon controller is fitted to front windows.

Made the most of some time off over Christmas to fit some sound insulation to the rear wheel well as inspired by @pudding. Took about 2 hours. Not a perfect job but I definitely think it has helped, especially at motorway speed.

Before....

During...

After...

Everything went back in perfect. Also took some time to give the interior a long overdue clean.

Nice  :happy2:  I like those foam sheets, very easy to work with.

Next on my list is to do the rear arches and behind the rear cards.  In the summer I'm also going to coat the entire underbody and arches with U-Pol Raptor, which is a mega tough protective coating the factory should have applied, and also has good sound deadening properties

New disks and pads on the back, the old ones were nasty and very well used. Found my passenger side caliper is starting to stick so ordered a new one from TPS earlier. MOT needed by the 13th so will have it if need!

Rear springs replaced (eibach 30mm). Nice and easy 2hr job. Rear track arm bolt (18mm)had been given a WD40 soaking for 5 days to help removal
Top and bottom rubber mounts needed a good clean but no signs of wear n tear after 80000+miles
Sitting very high at the moment hopefully drops to an acceptable level in the next  100 miles or so :driver:
 Fronts next :popcornsoda:

Replaced the rear discs, pads and calipers as the near side had obviously been sticking on. Thought it sensible to do the whole lot.

3K oil change done and a ghetto mod done to the Revo intake to get the fuel trims where they should be.

After 50 miles, very low trims indeed, so hopefully they will stay low over a few weeks and that can be signed off as a fix.

Well after discovering a broken rear spring on my Dad’s .:R32 last weekend when changing his rear bump stops and front console bushes, swapped both of them this morning for a pair of new genuine replacements. Only took an hour in the rain to do both, including removing the near side xenon adjuster on the lower arm for access.

Next job - making my Brother’s 2Motion a 4Motion once more, and a disc and pad replacement on his partners New Beetle.

No rest for the wicked...
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!
