I clear that tube periodically...doesn't take much to become clogged.

Me and the MK5 went and tested the amount of articulation there is in the suspension...didn't take much of a slope to catch air at the rear tire when you have both front and rear ARB's.

This irritated me every time I happened to look through my grill so it had to be painted

You had front end repair once, right? I hit a racoon and the new bumper was done the same way but I made them redo it in black since they were not aware it would show and neglected to mask it over. Nice work there.

Looks like it, however not in my ownership. It didn't look like the sort of thing they'd leave in the factory.

Yeah, they are black from the factory. When it gets a respray for whatever reason...the body shop doesn't pay attention that it does and will show and so doesn't get covered when painted. What bugs me is when it is reassembled and is noticeable, why don't they see and correct it then rather than make me point it out to them? They must decide to wait and see if the owner cares enough to avoid rework. Happened to mine twice...once when wrecked and the other when the poor racoon ran across the road.

A rare clean.  It always surprises me how well she comes up considering the exterior neglect it receives

Downgrade to Stage 1 also done.  Stock DP (with both cats) and a brand new HPFP from VW.  £99 inc shipping for the DP and £208+VAT for the pump.   Standard, ungutted DPs are getting harder to come by for a reasonable price these days.  Obscene money for a new one from VW last time I checked.

I'm not going anywhere and not selling up yet    Just a change in circumstances means I won't use the car as often anymore, so it's a waste having all that tasty kit sitting there doing nothing.

Standard or Stage 1 with the Ohlins is more than enough for me on the odd occasion I use it  :happy2:

All I did today was remove 4 sensors for cleaning; the MAF, MAP, IAT, and cam speed/position sensors.
I do this about every 20k miles...a soak in alcohol for 5-10 minutes and allow to dry for 30 min. to one hour. Replace o-rings if needed to take up any slop in their sockets ensuring there are no slight leaks of boost and done.

At last - fitted rear foot well lights, but only to the passenger side! Tomorrow will be the drivers side turn. I was distracted by a neighbour's TR4 - old cars are so simple...
