HPFP sensor? Do you mean the G410 (low fuel pressure sensor) mounted on the side of the HPFP? Or the G247 (high fuel pressure sensor) mounted on the fuel rail...which measures the pressure the HPFP produces?
Thanks mate. I replaced the G410. The G247 I didn't touch, I believe it's in a tricky spot under the manifold, next to the oil check stick. I measured the pump outputs and it was showing fine at idle, 50% LPFP duty cycle (I changed to a meat and doria crap then replaced that to the oem VDO Continental, I don't believe it's the LPFP causing it but I'll be damned if I get a 3rd one
). I will check the FPRV VCDS stuff tommorow after driving the car. I have the RS4 FPRV and new fuel raills (metal one which I've managed to bend when removing the HPFP and the small rubber one next to it, where the older cars have the banjo bolt fitting). I will wait to replace all 3 in the next couple of days and see how it goes from there.
The cam looks fine btw, car has a CDL cylinder head with CDL cams, software made for them (I believe the CDL has higher lift)... I asked the owner if he got the software done with the old BYD cams then switched to the CDL stuff whilst leaving the old software untouched but he didn't.
Also to keep it on topic I painted my grile insert stripe today, it was badly faded and looked like total ass, purplish with yellow spots, guess it was the patina but I only like patina on old watches

Looks miles better and it only cost me 10$ for the Tornado Red spray.
