Well im heading down to pick up my FINALLY fixed ko4'd GTi...which apparently made 341bhp on the rollers this morning. And passed its MOT with the brakes as advisor's

Just seen on Facebook bet your excited today  :jumping:

Considering i have been driving round with 230bhp thinking it was 280bhp quick...its going to be a VAST improvement. Its been a painful wait...i have somehow forgotten about most of that pain now

Today I dropped the suspension a little (two turns) as it's the first chance I've had since fitting. Just want to find a very flat/level surface to take some measurements.

Cambelt and waterpump change for me today. She's only done 24500 miles but is now 4 years old so the time had come to give her a new treat

Just washed the car using the karcher foam gun attachment for the first time (it's been sitting in the garage unopened for about four months).

Seems to have done a pretty good job used with some cherry snow foam  :happy2:

I just installed eibach sportline springs to my GTI. Well the fronts only, as I didnt have enough time. I will try to do rears later in the evening. I didnt take out the axle bolts, I find it a bit strange that every single DIY out there sudgest removing those even though you dont have to. I just removed the sway bar bolt + strut bolt. Then compressed the spring and removed the top 3 bolts and strut assembly comes out. Went really well.. This is third time installing springs for me.  :driver:

Let my two year old son sit in the the drivers seat 2 days ago whilst parked up on holiday to get a photo. Shame I didn't notice until today that he'd put the parking light on. Had to get a push then take it for a drive and the coast just for the sake of driving. Every cloud and all that.....

New Gateway fitted and the RCD510 is back in action. Fitting the Gateway was not with out its problems as i somehow managed to crack the windscreen attempting to remove one of the windscreen wiper arms. I gently, and i mean gently tapped the windscreen wiper spline with a soft mallet and a 13" horizontal crack appeared across the bottom of the screen
