Is that a Legal plate Carlo? Could do with a new one for mine as I have just bought an American style front number plate holder and hope it will fit!

Kind of mate. It was a fully legal plate. I just cut the sides off. Should be ok….I hope. :innocent:

I don't think there is any law against the overall length of your plate as long as spacing is legal/correct, my mum's cars have always had a private plate on them for the last 30 years (1 number 3 letters) and it's about 10 inches long and she has never been stopped  :happy2:, I think as long as the space between the "S3" and "CFR" is legal then your fine!

^^ where did you get them from?

From an amazon marketplace company. They are actually anti-theft as well, but I have left out that bit because the little screw thread sticks out too much and i'm not sure if I like that. I think for £4 i can risk them being nicked.

Just fitted a new boot badge mechanism to my 05 GTI. Thanks to silent dubber for selling at a good price.  :happy2:
It looks nice but I have to say I miss my old original first generation badge. It was more solid and had damping on it. In my opinion I think the smooth single piece look was nicer aswell. I certainly won't miss the dreaded white worm on it though!  :surprised:

There are lots of these on eBay and amazon. I had GTI caps on mine and 2 were nicked a few months ago (not sure why only 2 of them), really annoying!

Haha! Like it.

I have to admit it's gone straight over some people's heads. GILF is often quoted...
