Is that Poole accident repair? I had the same loan car! Better than a Polo that's for sure

Cars been at JKM today for full service, brake fluid change, new fuel filter and having removed the ITG CAI recently gone to a Pipercross panel filter too. Running very nicely now.

Took my wife to Gunwharf Quays while there, cost more than the car did today. Factory outlet......my arse!   :sad1:

....I went to Gunwharf Quays while my car was at JKM last time - Bought an Oakley T-shirt (I wear prescription Oakleys so I am allowed!) and had delicious fried squid starter at Slug-n-Lettuce. Did you use JKM's Polo?

Very smooth 3-cylinder which takes you up to 30+ without realising it (not advised in Portsmouth) but no acceleration from 50-ish. Unbelievably high mpg number!

Polo was already out!  :sad1: Train to the Harbour was 5 mins and £3 each so no biggie.

Walked past the Slug and Lettuce and went to Jamie's Italian which was ok if a little overpriced for pasta, shame as I had no idea the Slug and Lettuce did seafood, my favorite. Next time!

Yeah Poole accident and repair. haha.

I almost got a polo and I was dreading it as I have a long journey to do but the merc came in just before I got there so I was in luck. Looks alright.

Collected a genuine set of front mudguards off ebay for £4.50 - new in the box. The boy almost threw them at me! Think he was a bit pissed they went for so little! :P

Finally finished fitting my RNS 510, new can gateway and multifunction steering wheel. Updated the RNS with 4120 and V9 maps. All coded and running spot on. Well happy with it all! :jumping:

Discovered a leaky washer reservoir today so made an appointment. Also ordered a cam follower, remote/key badge, oil and filter for the next change.

I keep meaning to get a new key fob badge and battery.

It's still on the original battery any it will end up running out on me soon  :sad1:

My batteries are still original as well...since Nov. '06  ;]

I don't know why I waited so long to replace the long lost fob badge. ;(
It only cost me $8 usd
I get all of my parts from the VW dealer at employee cost. IDKW? Must be because I give them so much work to do, right?
They pretty much did all of the work on my MKV to date, and since there is only one (really good) mechanic on duty, I can always trust it being done right every time.
I'm happy that the Golf R has my engine in it with a K04. When/if my K04 goes bad i should get it for a really fair price, yes?  :stupid: ..that is if it is the proper spooler.

My car has gone into audi vw accident and repair... not an accident I might add.

I found some corrosion on the right wing and so it has gone in under warranty... new wing. woo!
There is also the possibility of a new left hand wing too and maybe even a respray for the back quarter panel+

... in the mean time I have been given a pimp wagon to roll around in,

The OEM engine cover is back on the car with the OEM panel filter being replaced with the Pipercross one. Same size as OEM filter, just supposed to help it breath a wee bit better, OEM+.  My car is only REVO stage 1 so no real benefit from a full CAI as its less noisy as well.

The one I got......

I fitted my new beastie boys inspired keyring! :D

I also received my black replacement washer bottle and coolant caps supplied by Alex @ Aks. I'm very happy with them! No pic yet but I'll sort one tomorrow!

I'm also going to have a look at fitting my 'R' brake retainers tomorrow! Should be a quick and easy job! :D
