My turbo has potentially started making a "ho" sound following a gear change. Only happened in second and third. Doesnt do it when reving in neutral. Otherwise, washed it.

That "ho" noise.. mines has always done it.. like a discharge sort of noise? mines does it like a turbo spool...

Mine has always made this noise;

Just found out my engine cover will be back in my hands on Wednesday. I dont think there will be another that looks like it.

Thanks to Big Al for filling it and doing plastic welding. And also pit stop designs for dipping it in Carbon fibre.

Now just to spray little bits red and its all ready to go.

Took the car to Awesome Gti this morning for its 40k service!! Had a full engine service, DSG service and haldex service. Whislt it was in i had them fit a WALK to the car.

On the drive home the car seemed to be a hell of a lot smoother, both the engine and gearbox. I couldnt feel much difference with the WALK fitted but i didnt push it that hard.

So massive thanks to the guys at Awesome !!

Oh and yesterday i refitted my wiring for the rear inner lights, and i made a start on making some kits up. Ive got 8 kits up to now, just a little finishing off and they will be ready to go on sale !!

Installed the new V9 maps and fitted a new LED number plate light as one of them had gone out.
is there any diff on the v9 maps, getting a 510 h fitted soon which will have v8 maps, is it just a dvd you buy for the v9 maps dude ?

PM 'golfman' on here and he'll sort you out with a copy of the V9 maps on DVD.

They're just updated maps (+ speed cameras).

I like to have the latest version as I had been driving through space according to the maps when I'd actually been on roads built within the last couple of years!
