Left the Stage 2+ Edition in the garage and took the wife's 1.6TDci Focus... Realising I really should have a diesel... :jumping:

Dom

I still wouldn't be tempted. Once a petrolhead, always a petrolhead.

yeah I just don't like that diesel grone,,, tell you what depends on this stupid petrol inflation,,,, its just mad prices
had my car for 3 tanks of gas now
from full to petrol light coming on is
first tank = 300mls
tank 2 =     324mls
tank 3 =     332mls
averaging 30.9mpg on 70% b roads and say 30% town driving
how does the figures compare guys
ps,,, once my petrol light comes on I have fun with the remaining fuel and disregard the mpg till empty but that's not in my figures lol,,, best of both worlds

bought a 510 h from eddie today, plus k05 kit, mk6 rear camera full kit and a shark fin gps from golfman - im very poor now  :surprised:
now to get fitted by golfman next sat hopefully

You'll think all that kit is worth every penny once fitted. Only thing I haven't got is rvc but wish I did not do I have a shark fun aerial but I don't hae a roof aerial.

As for mileage I average between 30 - 35 with a mixture of driving.

cheers, yeah I was going to go for sensors fitted by vw but at £330 for them to supply and fit eddie only charged me £350 I think for the camera kit
will have to pay for it all to be installed
it is an expensive upgrade the whole lot I have ordered but to be fair eddie has been great with his prices and you aint gonna beat him on £
just hope everything is installed ok and I can hide the joint credit card balance from the wife  :innocent:

MPG can vary wildy depending on driving style. Once the car is warmed up I usually get somewhere in the low thirties if I'm doing general carefree driving on normal roads. Moves into high thirties if I'm just cruising at steady speeds on motorways etc. My record is 45MPG if I'm driving gently between 40-60 MPH.

So got the car back from AKS Tuning well happy with the car. coilovers make a massive difference also the mounts make the power direct. With fitted bcs exhaust system with sports cat. Sounds and works beautiful. Fitted carbon fibre scuttle well happy in the new look and difference.

Also got my engine cover back from pit stop designs and must say have done a awesome job. playing with a few added ideas at the moment.

but here you go:

Went to VW to order a couple of bits and then for a laugh thought I'd ask how much it would be for a new clutch to be fitted, after giving reg plate and saying its a mk5 GTI, i was asked is it a 1.6?!
