I did nothing today. It's only been raining for 2 months here (Pacific NW, Oregon) and not looking forward to another 7-1/2 months of this sh@t.I tire more each year because of the winters (that's what we call the rest of the year here other than the 2-1/2 months of summer we get). Is it like this for you all pretty much? I can't stand it anymore! I grew up in San Diego so WTF am I doing up here?! Next summer I'll be done with Engineering here in school and just might sell the house and head to warmer climate ;] That's my RANT for the day..

Had new drivers door pull fitted as the old one was very tatty.  Also had fitted a 3D rear badge added.

Picked up the parts to do the "boot pop" mod as well  :drinking:

Today we removed the rear window wiper blanking plug and also removed the front two window Clamair vent thingys. Bored with the passenger window never closing at the first time of pushing the button.

I have these black ones, and they are nice. The wife gave them to me one x-mas.

yeah look cool, bit cheeky of them saying the chrome ones look cheap and nasty though as both look good

What? Why was I included in this quote? I just said that I have the black ones and that I like them, meaning the control rings, whatever their finish. Not sure of what 'cheeky' means, but I surely didn't mean to offend anyone nor did I say "chrome ones look cheap and nasty".

I entered the topic simply curious if the rings the OP wrote of were similar to the ones available here.

He's not talking about you mate. In the site's product description it says that

Had it serviced, MOT'd and door fixed, all courtesy of AKS.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.
