Received my Winter tyres off a fellow forum member (Thanks Thor) and got them fitted to the OEM Cupra 18's which I'll be using over the Winter whilst my OZ Ultralegerra's hibernate in the warm garage (and maybe get a cheeky refurb too!)  :happy2:

Tyres get the inspection and seal of approval from my resident German quality control expert!

Back from the local tyre place who sorted me out taking my old track beaten tyres off and replacing them with the Vredestein Wintrac Extreme's!

The Vred's look meaty and strangely I'm looking forward to trying them out when the weather gets nasty! :stupid: :pomppomp:

Bud, I'd seriously consider putting the summers back on until necessary, I put my winters on too early last year and used a lot more tread than I needed to... Looking good though, I like the idea of a black/anthracite coat for my old Monzas.

Wasn't going to spend any more on the car after having to replace the clutch but found a set of 16" steels with virtually brand new (7mm of tread) 205-55-16 Goodyear Ultragrip 7+ tyres on Gumtree. The seller had just bought a MK2 Skoda Octavia and the winter wheels came with the car, he didn't want them and was asking £250, gave him a call and offered a cheeky £175 which he accepted on the condition i collect them this evening. :)

Hope they fit for you mate; sounds like a great price, couldn't get two decent 18 inch winter rubber for that!

Standard fit so shouldn't be a problem - checked against the 16" spare steel wheel and the ET is the same :)

MOT & service today...
50 mile trip up the M40 to APS. Car feels so much fitter now with new plugs & oil.
Gutted that the aircon regas seems to be leaking as soon as I got home. Still, the new Milltek & VWR Springs have been worth every penny...
Pics to come on my build thread...
