Treated the GTI to its first replacement fuel filter at 77k.  Old one had done it's job (lots of black metallic particles came out when I drained it).  Highly recommended maintenance as the car is running smoother and pulling harder.  Very happy!

OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!

Yup I've decided to swap mine every two years now. Had the first one changed at 4 years and it made a huge difference.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

It didn't stay like that for long with all the salt on the roads haha, had another wash as soon as it got home (ocd!). If you're ever near south wales look up the B4560, top gear do a lot of shooting around the area - you can see why!

Fitted new front tyres a couple weeks back, and done some 0-60 sprints to see what times I could crack..

Wet conditions so will shave 0.2 in better road conditions, but not bad going. Thanks to farmer Giles for the use of his land in these tests  :innocent:
I have a feeling I have too much fluttering going on under the bonnet, need to check my Diverter valve  :sad1:

Sounds like a challenge Steve,  got to be close, Stage 2 DSG v Stage 2+ manual?

I reckon your DSG launch will outdo my ham fisted stick changes.   :signLOL:

Bear in mind I'm using cheap timing equipment and not proper timing gear nor a sprint strip which has a better surface
