Not done today but popped to see Alex at AKS yesterday for a lube service. Also had a new EGT sensor fitted and we checked/adjusted the mechanical set-up for the injectors.

Booked in on Friday to have the map tweaked now everything should be in order.

Ended up with a shattered windscreen and several bits of glass in my arm due to a van chucking something at me in the fast lane of the motorway. Something burning hot according to my neighbour.

Fitted my new RNS510 DAB (bought from a forum member) and now deciding on which DAB aerial route to go down:
 
(1) is to split the FM antenna feed and lose FM diversity,
(2) Buy a windscreen mounted DAB aerial,
(3) Run a new cable to the rear of the car and or
(4) Buy a complete DAB,GSM,FM,SATNAV bee-sting set up. 

I'm off the the US tomorrow; perhaps I can buy the parts cheaper there......

I did 2) , not happy with it
now 3) with polo DAB aerial, now happy  :happy2:

Me in my mk 5 eddy, collected mrs from garage..MOT time!
Other car is a 1993 golf cabby.
Had been parked outsife all winter, and not used for a month.
Straight thru!
As the man said... "They dont make em like that anymore!"
Wonder what the mk 5 will be like at that age?

fitted mk6 GTD seats i collected yesterday, just need to sort the armrest and door cards and sell my leather seats

Very interesting day..... Fitted me wiper blades all round and a new rear wiper arm that some kind soul ripped of weeks ago. Also fitted mk6 cruise stalk to the mk6. Just needs coding
