sorry, but I couldn't live with that parrot screen there, it would drive me nuts, serious OCD about blocking the clocks  :scared:
mine is mounted just below rh centre air vent, but it is the smaller 9200..

Applied another few coats of tint too the rear lights today and took some shots.

Those rears look great, how easy was this to do? Dont fancy forking out for ed30 lights when this looks as good

It's definetly different things for different people.

On another dash I would have probably mounted it somewhere else but there is literally nowhere on the MK5 dash where it wouldn't look an eyesore and still be in my field of vision. Plus it's not very obvious it's there to potential thieves too.

I actually really like it where it is and it's not very obtrusive but really easy to see.

@Karl210 Wasnt to bad mate, take them out & mask up the inner circle on the lights and these lights have had 4 coats maybe 5 of smoke rear tint spray i got from Wilcos.
I was also wanting the look of the R32/ED30 but didnt want to shell out £200+ for them ... This cost £10 with the tape

Oh so you spray the outside? What about the edge when you peel the masking tape back off though? Wont there just be kind of like a step of paint?

Yes spray the outside with tint spray i did toy with the idea of cracking them open and spraying inside, but didnt want to risk breaking them. There is a slight step but you really have to be looking to notice it.

How much did it cost if you don't mind me asking?

It should have been £350.00 fitted but I paid £325.00 as I'm a cheeky Yorkshireman LOL!!!

Not that much more to just get RNS-510 (used)?

And then a blue tooth module for £200, a new can bus at £60, a blue tooth mic for £65 and fitting around £100.

Don't get me wrong I would love an RNS 510 but it is way more expensive once you start adding the necessary bits.

My car has nothing to do with bluetooth in it and I don't have steering wheel buttons either. Here is the mic I saw:

Trust me I'm good at looking after customers and finding great products but you wouldn't want anything made by my hands LOL!!!!
