Bonnet release has been getting a bit slack over the last few weeks so invested in a new handle and bracket to fix  TPS had them in stock so 5 minutes from call to collect :happy2: :happy2:    1K 823 633A     1J2 823 533C

Thanks for this - was only thinking last night how loose my set up is!
OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!

£16 for both  Hoping this fixes the slack or I may need to find a guide for cable routing

Hopefully cured an annoying rattle under the dashboard - driver's side - which had been getting progressively worse.

After stripping off the headlight switch/storage bin panel and poking about a bit I found a relay holder/plug loose in it's mounting (looks like the retaining lugs had just got slack with age).  Took the plug out and moved it into one of the adjacent spare mounts as well as applying some factory fabric loom tape to the four sides of the plug to make a snug fit.  Seems to have fixed it but will see in the morning on my drive to work...

I have a really annoying rattle happening on my passengers side of the dash. Really do need to get into it and find out what it is. Mainly have my music on so don't hear it but when I have the wife in the car....well the rattle is actually worse!  :signLOL:

Just picked the car up from the bodyshop.

Had both sills repaired, inner wings and rear arches inspected and caked in Bilt Hamber Dynax S50. Front sponges taken out and arch liner trimmed.

Had a scratch on the passenger door trim painted.

Also had top of the lower rear bumper sprayed. I HATE the plastic rear bumper. It looks insanely cheap. These should have been painted like this from factory for the GTI in my opinion. I got away with it a little as it is a black car but glad I had it done.

You're a real slut aren't you?

They look quite nice though actually, I've never thought they'd suit the golf/ a3/ TT platform in general but I like that  :happy2:

Looked at it briefly as I took the UP! out, knowing full well it's stuck in 3rd gear and needing a new box. :angry015:
