Had MTEC drilled discs all round, ferodo ds2500 pads on the front, premier on the rear, braided brake lines with blue covering, 2 new Pirelli P Zero to match the rears, sailed through the MOT with no advisories. Save some pennies for Monza refurbs in the new year.

If an external light is fitted, it must work for the MOT

I've spoken to a tester regarding this previously, as mines hasn't worked since I bought the car haha

They can only fail you if they can prove that it's fitted AND connected! But they can't, so they need to give it benefit of the doubt and pass it anyway haha

Had a service, retrofitted cruise control, had a quickshift installed with 42DD bushes.
Was advised front discs are corroded and wipers are worn so ordered new ones last night along with new pads.

My MK5 and I started a rear shock swap only to find that one of the bump stops is wrecked. Job on hold  :sad1:

Went to St. Ives for the bank holiday weekend. First real run I've done in the Gti, all 600 miles and she loved it!

Firstly, sorry for my English. I'm from Spain (Madrid).

Today I've done two things:

- Changed my cam follower:
This is the old one:

And the new:

Price: 37€ purchased in official service

The old one is not bad at all, but I prefer to change it to sleep easily

- Changed the key's logo because it was very scratched:
Before

After

Price: 1,63€ (4 units) purchased in AliExpress. Good quality.

I received HID bulbs from HID direct and also received interior LEDs from Matt who has supplied many guys on here with bulbs as seen in the interior LED thread.

Fitted all bulbs yesterday.  Couple of awkward moments.  In particular getting at the side light bulbs.  But pliers were my best friend!

All done and really happy with the results! Looks fantastic at night now and no longer a drab yellow inside the car or out with these bulbs
