Boot Pop - Replaced Struts  & Coded (Fitted by RetroRaz)
Replaced Sparks with NGK ones
Replaced Air Filter with ITG

How's the boot pop? Been considering doing this myself?
Did mine years ago...the first year I noticed in summer it's great and it pops and the boot raises...but in the winter it just pops and you have to lift it manually. Which is actually quite good because if it is raining and you pop it early before you are quite close...it doesn't sit there opened with the rain coming in.

Gave the car a good Spring clean yesterday and sealed with chemical guys 109 (really nice to use).

Sonax wheel spray
Bilt hamber snowfoam
2 bucket wash with lambs wool mitt and Zaino wash
Autosol and wire wool for the exhaust
Chemical guys jetseal, buffed with das pro machine polisher and buffing pad
Meguiars endurance tyre gel
Autoglym leather cleaner

No sooner had I finished it started raining! Makes for some good beadage though!

I heard its good in the summer and temperamental in the winter

Assuming it's easy to lift the boot manually if it doesn't pop all the way I wouldn't have a major issue with it

Had new discs, pads and calipers fitted to my rear on the Ed30..

Old ones were sticking and completely knackered

Nice to get it all freshened up back there

Rev R PCV fitted yesterday and Rev G DV last week. REVO stage 1 booked for next week!! :jumpmove:

Hi sorry do you know if revo maps are linear?
I just don't like the rtech linear map and might change to revo

Thanks
Sort the hardware out first. you was told prior the the map there was not going to be a massive gain due to the exact hardware combination you had I gave you the option to take the car away and fit the better hardware for stage2+ then come back to have the car setup with out any limitations.    You are choking a huge about of potential which is holding the power back massively.  you can go to every tuner in the uk and the chock point will still be there, some might make is feel more aggressive down low with kicks and fast turbo spooling, some will try to tune across the whole rpm range,  but the final hp results will be the same due to hardware.

Had the car a few weeks now, and first wee job done...fitted a replacement DV, revision G.  The old one was revision B, and it had a good few splits!! Not too bad a job, made easier on the ramp...

It is OK when you need to lift manually, but can be trying if hands are full. It is beginning to warm up here(Oregon, US) as we have had a few days in the 70°F range. We expect a couple of 80°F days this week. Perhaps the darn thing will open fully once again
