Thursday when I replace cam follower and fitted GFB dv + I also fitted my double side light brake light mod and it looks good no pictures yet.
Apologies for not getting back to give a response.  Did the DV upgrade rid you of the boost jerking?  Wanted to know this and if you did a full Auto-scan?
No worried mate I'll forgive you

I'll go backwards, silly me didn't do any scan on it which is kind of lazy of me.
second the boost is amazingly quicker than before and a lot smoother now I've replaced the split dv and repalaced it with dv + and no sudden jerk on boost so I'm happy to say my car feels strong and full power knock me back into the seat now.
Nice...would've said "Yes", to your question before, it will do that...but was busy pulling my own hair out over a fueling issue I posted over in the Mods & Tech section.  :drinking:
Oh right. hope you've resolved your issue?.

@shoaybmakda I think it's a brilliant piece of kit everyone should have but then again that could be biased answer as the diaphragm on my rev B was torn up pretty badly loosing boost and having lack of power for the past maybe 8 months of driving her around thinking she's not as fast as people make out.
Seriously speaking though, I've found boost holds for longer and she definitely moves off really quick now and changing up and down are a lot smoother and quicker than before  :happy2:

@shoaybmakda to be honest, I can't say I've noticed any massive difference over my rev g in relation to boost, other than it seems more responsive to throttle input. One thing I have noticed is that the noises I was getting coming on and off boost are gone.

I will be able to give a better review after a week or so

The GFB DV+ is worth getting when you need to replace an OEM DV. I don't think it's worth changing when you have a working DV just to increase the throttle responsiveness. I fit my GFB DV+ when I relocated the DV to the front of the engine (BYD engines for LHD cars have the DV near the turbo inlet). I was lucky that I was able to sell the membrane of the Rev G I had. It was sold cheap but it's still money.

I have a Rev G and was looking at the GFB DV+ but I read a post where someone said a well known tuner(cannot remember which one) will not map your car unless you have standard DV

Niki at r-tech was asking people to remove them if they had then fitted as the early ones and cheap copies were leaking boost, but the newer genuine ones seem to be holding up well, he has been testing them on his own ed30

As said above, that was before Niki from R-Tech tested the revised GFB DV+. He also got one that was a Chinese fake that leaked boost. AFAIK he's very pleased with the genuine item because the throttle responsiveness increased at partial throttle. Both Rev G and GFB DV+ perform the same at full boost.

ah that is good to know then as sounded weird why you would remove if they are genuine and working. My Rev G is working so think I will hold off until it maybe fails before upgrading

I personally went with what Mike _ tfsi reported after having tried it and would recommend this mod to anyone thinking of replacing their own dv. My gfb dv +  is being used on a rev B but as Dan_FR says it doesn't matter and I personally think exactly the same.

Yeap, the solenoid part of the DV doesn't matter as long as it's working (and it rarely fails, from what I read). We just replace the membrane/piston bits with the GFB DV+. It's very easy to do.
