Swapped out old headhunt for RCD510 and bluetooth module after fitting microphone and harness the other night. RCD works fine but I can't seem to find the correct code to put into vids to get it to install the bluetooth module. It's greyed out on the headhunt and although it sees it there in vids it's greyed out there as well. Current coding for telephone controller is 412120. Any ideas on new coding cos it doesn't open a helpful little code box on this controller for some reason.

Fitted these to the back of my TDI 4Motion


Zimmermann Zcoat 310mm discs, refurbed calipers and brembo pads


A bit on the small side...


Much better, though couldn't fit the splash shields

I was trying to be clever and thought that R32 splash shields would fit straight on because I had a 4Motion, but it appears my hubs a different (apart from just being cast iron), as they attach in 5 places rather than just 3 and won't fit at all, so I am running without for now. I do have the alloy R32 rear hubs in the shed, so will do those at a later date. I had to revisit the brake bleeding a 2nd time, as the handbrake wouldn't work properly and they were spongy initially, but I'll maybe cover my "one man method" in another post.

All in all very happy, as they look a lot better through the wheels, even though the whole car could do with a clean  :grin:

Hopefully the front 350mm 6 pot Brembos will go on next few weeks. One more thing ticked off the list before my Darkside turbo upgrade...

PS. Don't laugh at the tyres, they came with the wheels and were too cheap to resists for genuine Audi Rotors. :driver:

Fitted new rear tail gate wiring loom after getting fed up of soldering the old ones that kept breaking when opening/closing the boot. Bad design VW!

Yeah she's been running like a dream pal, other than the wires kept breaking, so finally had enough and just bought a new loom. £85 at VW!  :confused:

Keep an eye out mate, when one goes, the others follow quickly!

Not been around much, been away a lot over last few months.
How's things with you mate? Your Skyline mod looks sick!!!  :congrats:

Lucky for some having lots of holiday time lol

Things have been up and down tbh work was a stress left that Essex job to work as a fitter stripper with cars and have been having bullying issues with a few guys there. I think it's sorted now as the Indian manager /business partner wasn't happy about it and dealt with them along with another partner.

Actually got out and used the car properly for the first time. collected the roof bars and removable towbar from the previous owner and had blast back up through the Scottish Borders on roads the car was made for. Mint!

Quite a productive day considering it was drizzling all sodding day! Managed to replace the intercooler hose o-rings and replace the inline thermostat (heats up much quicker now) I did attempt to replace a slightly weeping flange but one of the bolts had seized so I'll leave that for another day!
