Just fitted my mfsw buttons, couldn't get the damn little connector off the paddle, until I realised I was pushing the clip the wrong way  :scared:, managed to do it without taking the airbag off completely and my damn alarm went off even after I'd took the battery off  :signLOL:

Did a service yesterday.

Moved up to millers nanodrive 5w40 from 5w30 longlife oil. Hopefully a less oil burning and not as much need to top up.

Also did the cam follower again (last time was 25k ago at 105k), looks okay wear to me, right? - there is some oil left on it which may look like scratches in the pic.

Didn't get a great picture of the lobe, but all looked grand for 130k car. All standard in the engine, no remap or anything.

not bad for 130k  :happy2: being mapped would make things work a lot harder so more wear I reckon.

Overtook VW Touareg on joining slip road on way home from work
Touareg driver gets weirdly angry and starts furiously flashing me for about half a mile
I don't acknowledge them and carry on driving
Touareg driver gets more angry and tries to overtake me on outside lane
I calmly put my foot down and Touareg driver was last seen as a small full beamed angry dot in my rear view mirror

Good times...

Now now, a Touareg driver is our friend.
I'm always letting in other VWs, Audis, Porsches etc in heavy traffic.
Beamer and Merc drivers though, not a chance.   :fighting:

Perhaps he was just expressing his frustration, and wishing that he hadn't got the 1.4 petrol version of the Tig?

Wait until you meet a Seat Ateca (suv) 1.0!

No choice but to drive like a granny. :signLOL:

It wasn't a Tiguan but a Touareg, so it has a 3.0 TDI, at least.

Completed my first DIY full service last week, learn a lot about the car all whilst saving yourself a little bit of money too :happy2:

Car rewarded me with advisory free MOT, so decided to give her a reward clean:

Oil leak from intercooler seal so next up is the PCV replacement (as much as I like my sort of factory catch can :signLOL:) - and a S3 shifter whilst I'm at it too.
