Excuse the filthiness, but 6-pot calipers & 350mm discs now fitted to my Ed30:

Calipers refurbed by myself; the pictures make them look a lot better than in real life!  :rolleye: Braking power is IMMENSE! Driving other cars, brakes just feel sub-standard!

How much did the whole lot cost you? I've just fitted the brembo 4 pots with 330mm merc ml discs. Looking at your pics I wish I spent abit more just for the look of bigger discs!

I took my time and picked up the calipers for £150 the pair (from breakers who didn't know what they were  :P). The Pagid discs cost £110 from ECP (was a bit stuck as I initially got the wrong discs), new HEL lines on offer at £30, Mintex road pads £50 (Carbotechs for track), £30 on mounting bolts & spacers & nuts, £20 on primer and paint and Brembo stickers, £30 on Forge spacers.

Total: £420. Labour £0 as I did all the work myself.

There was talk of people running 12mm spacers to clear the calipers. I managed to run 11mm spacers by shimming the calipers back by about 1.5mm. Still plenty of clearance between caliper and wheel, I could probably just manage 10mm but it's fine as is. I initially got 13mm spacers when I didn't shim the calipers, but now they're on the rear  The car sits very very nicely.

The braking power is incredible, even with Mintex road pads. Planning on some Carbotechs XP20's which will be insane.

Finally got my "cool running" issue sorted. No Jamaican bobsled team involved, just a dodgy thermostat and a leaky seal. Running much better now  :happy2:

Had a pioneer Apple CarPlay head unit fitted, with iPhone cable run to the compartment by the handbrake. Installer did a nice neat job...the surround fits perfect too.

All interior lights swapped for LEDs too, and fitted one of Olsen-72's USB sockets.

Also found a dial in the glovebox....is that what I think it is?

Drove a 130 km round trip to er... get AUX-IN port activated. Great excuse to get some empty Road night driving in.

I think my after market HIDs (previous owner installed them) may have annoyed a few people judging by the flashes I got on some dark roads...

I haven't seen any aftermarket HID kit on open headlights that wasn't annoying. :booty:

Get some Hella xenon-look headlights, those have projector lenses that focus better the light.

Checked tyre pressures earlier, alarmingly low at 18-20 psi!! Knew they were running low but damn ...

Now all back up to 35 psi :)
