@irish_ram sounds nice I like it  :congrats:
also looks well fitted too  :driver:

Yeah i was surprised in the sound to be honest as did not think a simple Y pipe would make it sound that good. Also for the cheap price it was even better when got the Miltek style Tips included
You lucky bugger  :signLOL: I can't wait to have some spare cash as I want a turbo back or at least a cat back for starters and work from there as the exhaust makes such a difference to a car. oh alloys too but I'll hang on to my 18's as they do the job  :driver: I've been aggressively driving the motor fir the past few days and it's feeling a little sluggish so maybe fit my GFB dv+ on the weekend if weather is good.
Glad you've sorted your zorst out though.  :drinking:

Yeah like you think I am going to now invest in a full system as really like this look so worth upgrading the hole exhaust.

Yeah I was going to get one of those GFB dv+ but I have a REV G now so not sure what difference it would make
Well there is a milltek in the sale section with our name on it  :signLOL:

Benefits of a GFB dv... read on sir.

Well I might have to plump for that exhaust as cannot have the Y pipe on come MOT time or a fail so I am told
Actually that depends on whether your emissions on the car will be high or not but I'd say get that system as you wanted the R32 look and you can have the real deal  :happy2:
Not sure why that would fail a test though? What's your setup with the exhaust, just a y in place of the rear box? Surely as gt said, it's on emissions, and that's down to the cat.

Yes I now have a Y pipe which replaced the backbox but I was not sure what the backbox purpose was if anything in terms of MOT. Sounds like I should be okay then hopefully

It's just a silencer.

If you're happy with the sound it's happy days. No MOT problems.

Down the line if you want more power focus on the downpipe. That's where the big restriction is. Decat or a good sport cat will open up the flow and you can keep the rest of the system as it is. You'll get a bit more noise too. Nice noise.

Yeah I am loving the look but also the sound at the moment. Has a lovey sound on startup and acceleration especially with DSG. But in the cabin there is not much difference apart from you can hear the exhaust purring more when sitting at traffic lights. And the only drone you get it when you get above 70mph and on the motorway but even then it is minimal

That's weird as I would have thought knocking out that silencer would have given you a lot more noise. looks like its time to gut out the cat or as AJP said get a dp sorted and youll definitely get more of a throatier noise as that's what I'll be doing soon hopefully when funds steady on this side.

Well when I say not much noise I have not listened to it outside the car when it is accelerating past me.

Do you think it is loud from the video I sent I have not really compared it with anything.

Personally I think its a nice sound from the video although its not in front of me but that would be very loud after removing the rear silencer. If you want a bit more roar and burble then remove the centre section

Yeah more noise I would not mind but I would be worried about the increased sound inside the cabin

If I'm being honest our gti's are well built and sound proofed so I doubt you'd here it too much. find out if anyone else has gone straight through for a second opinion
