Never noticed that and even if did I would not have realised what colour it should be. you got a pic of yours to see if I prefer it red or black as was like that when I bought it

It's just the bit behind the honey comb centre top grill.

Mine was like yours when I went to the track:

Before I had it re-sprayed it was all black behind the grill:

Slightly confused, is yours white now or black behind the grill haha

I don't have any picture of the bumper after I got it painted black again in the centre. Just an initial picture (bottom) and after the re-spray that left the bit behind the grill white (top).

I think it looks good with the red behind the black grill....   :drinking:

Chris
It wouldn't be fun if it was easy, I just wish it wasn't this much fun.

Got a full service and a few bits done down the road at Statller. Top notch customer service and a good chat with Steve as usual.

Also bumped into a decent lad called Luke I think. He's in a Passat with a CDL. Had a good chin wag about mods and stuff. He wanted to have a go in mine to get a feel of the Helix clutch but he didn't have time. Anyone one here know him?

Received a "brand new" cam tension, & hpfp mount, cover yesterday. Was advertised to be new @ $500usd when the dealer price for it was $800+ with a special price for me at $625usd...so I went with the one for $500 of course. Opened the box and found it to be used and it had gouges and was scored all along every bit of the machined mating surfaces and looked used in every way. I had many conversations via email with the company...and finally got everything sorted so I could return it and so I did.

The funny thing they said was that they only sell new parts. Then later they said, and this is when it gets hilarious, "their trusted oem supplier said, these are removed on the line by the factory but are new". What would be the reason why the factory be doing removing brand new cam tension covers? And if faulty...what would these guys be doing selling them as new? I had to cancel my appointment today for the replacement and reschedule it for tomorrow.

Even inside the cam follower race there is dark pitting/corrosion...

Not yet...supposed to receive credit to my account when they get it back. Find out next week if it goes back to my CC account. I did get a "real" new cover installed yesterday and funny how a new part differed from the other "new" part.
