RNS510 1t0035680P is my unit...what options other than Reverse, Bluetooth and MK6 heater controls can I do?
Can't really find much info other than firmware links etc on Google. I would like to add DAB, OEM if possible?

Not today but over the last few days...

Full suspension overhaul and front hub conversion consisting of:

  • Bilstein B8 shocks
  • VWR springs
  • S3 front top mounts/bearings
  • S3 front alloy hubs/new wheel bearings (to compliment the S3 alloy front wishbones already installed)
  • New front brake shields
  • New front ARB links
  • New rear trailing arms/eccentric bolts
  • New rear top and bottom spring plates
  • Thorough wax-oiling of rear subframe, floorpan and rear arches
  • Full 4-wheel alignment

All done on my drive (bar the 4-wheel alignment).  Car feels great - nice and tight but not harsh or crashy.  Very happy and pleased with what I've achieved.

Big thanks to my brother (moral support, sarcasm and humour), to my better half (tea, feed and plenty of sarcasm...), Derby TPS (for all the genuine parts and alleviating me of my hard-earned) and Stoney Cross Garage (encouragement and 4-wheel alignment).

OEM+ 2005 GTI DSG (high factory standard spec and upgraded with S3 alloy hubs, S3 alloy wishbones, Bilstein B8s and VWR springs by my own hands) owned since 2008 and still loving it!

Fitted a dv+, although I was rushing and snapped the electrical connector retainer bit (the bit you pull down to release the electrical plug). Should have cable tied it but didn't have any left and the shops were closed - so I put a bit of superglue on to hold it on.

Happens to the best of us! Superglue will probably come loose over time with the heat, vibration and dirt so I'd get a cable tie around it. Should be able to squeeze your hand up from underneath even!

Fitted my dv+ today. 48 on the clocks and definitely worth it. Has to be a must do.

Had a spirited drive home from the gym today! First time I've driven hard in at least 6 months and I enjoyed it more than ever.... The gf who's typically a terrible passenger was even spurring me on! Obviously kept it safe and didn't do anything reckless! It's nice to know that even though I typically keep her under 2500rpm that when the time is right, she can pull serious power out.

Delighted when an A4 looked in at me in and floored it coming onto the motorway.... He lost!  :driver:

Raced or was it left a tt who thought he was clever on the A13 back from work. :signLOL:
Had a little road rage with some twat aroimd 550pm who tied cutting me up and squeezing into the right from the left hand lane knob. I didn't let him in as I waited and so should he.
