New tothe forum here, based over in Ireland!

Fitted new rear brake caliper as the old one was sticking, made a huge difference to the feel of the car.

Replaced front dust covers for the disc brakes as they failed on NCT (MOT), the old ones were corroded.

Also got an interior valet as the the seats were looking a bit worn. Came up really vey, chuffed!

I know, no OEM stereo. The sony one was in it when I bought the car. Will be picking up one of these https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/VW-OEM-Original-Car-Radio-Player-MIB-RCD510-CD-MP3-USB-SD-Bluetooth-For-Volkswagen-Passat/909381_32651650889.html in the new year

Replaced my cabin filter the old one was gopping! completely black and full of crud and thus also had to use air duster and the hover to clean it all up! VW say they change it as and when but I think this might have been the original!

Replaced the rear bumper with a pristine one I got from a breaker. Old one had some serious scuff marks on it from when the previous owner scraped it. Coming together nicely now.

Next on the list is a headlight refurbishment.

Ordered a cam follower, chain and water pump also.

Installed and running lovely. Rcd330G plus. Many thanks patchysan!  Haven't tested everything yet but Bluetooth is fine, sound quality is fine and it is very easy to use and brings the interior up to date.

That looks so nice do some of these head units have sat nav ready built in ? And is this out of a MK7 ?

I don't think so, although maybe as an option as one button is blank so that could be it. I followed patchysan and got this from Aliexpress. I think they are in the current polo on China, they are certainly a new unit. I'm a big fan, aside from DAB it's got everything I need day to day.
