Finally fitted full led brake light, reverse and fog bulbs. Enabled emergency brake light flashing in vcds. Tried out some new COB LED side lights, so much brighter than standard SMD leds but run so fecking hot I had to get them out and stick with the bold sport ones!!
Not on the car but for the car in readiness for the summer and detailing... little project on the go...am making a diy sun gun to check for paint swirls and the like.

Enabled emergency brake light flashing in vcds. I've done this too, but apparently it's working. Have you have someone confirm that yours actually are?

@MPS That video is hilarious. The advertising standards committee over here would go mental if that was on TV here.

Got an MDI kit installed to go with the recently acquired RCD510, and put in a new glove box to get rid of the old OEM Nokia cradle.

Big thanks to @Pudding for providing the MDI kit.

Finally, no more messing about with CDs!

Nice

Glad it's gone to a good home!

Finaly got the time today and the weather was to it - So I splitted the interior out to repair my auxiliary heater.
Had a fault saying it was defect, so thought I would give it a go and solder some parts.

At start the output was around 200-350w.
after 1 attempt to repair the output came up to about 700w - but still the fault code in vcds.
did take another try and finaly 990-1000w output and no fault code :D

Well done Christiank, but i guess your car is Left hand drive as to do it in a rhd car is a pig. It makes a big difference though :)
I had a 2nd hand one fitted as nothing looked wrong with mine.

Changed the grab handles and switches

Headlight Switch

First off, in the off position push the switch inwards

Twist to the automatic lights position

Then simply pull out and unclip the electrical connecter

Old vs. New

Fitted

Drivers Side

Before

Comparison

Disconnect switches

New Switches

After

Passenger Side

To start we used the trim removal tool to separate the two plastic pieces, the top one is held in by two t30 screws, we removed these and then thought the handle would then come away...

However, the handle is also held in by two screws at the back so it meant we would have to remove the door card to gain access.

The replacement

We then took the door card off, the door card itself is held in place by 4 t20 screws one on the side and three along the bottom

We then lifted up the door card

I then located the two t20 screws to undo, the handle then came away and we reversed the process

Door card back on

After

Comparison

Fuel Switch

I don't have many photos of this as it was a right pig of a job to do:lol:

Nice job @jamiekirk95  :happy2:

Did the new grabs come with the mirror & window switches? Mine are pretty mullered so on my list to replace!
