Going to have a go at putting in my cruise control tomorrow, long driver down to Cornwall at the weekend so it'll come in handy.

Travel tip from a local!

Avoid A30 at Temple, between Launceston and Bodmin if poss, but at all costs if travelling friday/sat.
Massive road works, very long delays....even when not peak holiday weekend.
If heading for Newquay area/ N coast take the  A395 & A 39 route just west of Launceston.
Once past the Kennards House junction for 395 there are very few alternative routes..... For the S coast go via Plymouth A 38.

The lazy tw@ts are now probably 6 months behind schedule, and appear to be in no rush to get finished?
Its gonna be a car park come BH weekend!
Thank you very much you just saved me a lot of stress and time. I'm going all the way down to Penzance, I will go Via Plymouth.

Drove round with all windows open enjoying the sun

Same.  I don't understand the folk who drive around with the windows up and the A/C on freezing their nuts off.  Enjoy the sun I say......we don't get a lot of it in the UK!

Cruise Control is in and working  Really pleased! It only took an hour, and cost £13 for the stalk

no changing slip rings, steering wheel controllers, adding wires to pin 13's. Plug, code and play for me.

Mine came with it and I never use it!  Probably because adjusting the speed (accelerating) from the stalk feels weird after using my foot for so many years!

Failed to fit my front arb as it will not come out past the subframe with the bushes attached. Tried the rear and snapped a bolt on the bracket

Took a punt at one of these Bluetooth module adaptors for music streaming.
Works perfectly with my MFD2, result!
For a few quid you can't go wrong
Connects via the AUX port on the back of MFD2, better yet I kept my stereo AUX connection too, so can play music with AUX wire too if needed

How does this differ to the cheap bluetooth fm transmitters you can get? Wouldn't mind adding bluetooth streaming to my setup

From past experience, those fm transmitters are sh*te. The radio signal/station it taps into has to have a clear signal. If you go into an area where the signal is crap then you'll hear that annoying fuzzy noise. Don't know if they've been improved somehow but didn't wanna go down that route.

This is on the back hidden away so cleaner install. No irritating interference. Powers on and off with stereo. Works for me

A few little jobs today. I fitted Osram Nightbreaker High and dipped beam bulbs, and Osram Cool blue side light bulbs.

refitted the stupid air intake housing which had fallen off, into the cooling fan.

Cleaned under the bonnet, gave the release catch a really good clean as it was caked in years worth of hardened grease. removed and refitted the sound deadening carpet and got cleaned that up a bit. I'll do a full engine bay clean soon hopefully

That looks excellent. How much did you pay for the machine polish. I've got a machine myself but VW paint is so hard it takes so much time, I'm tempted to pay for mine to be done. Its really badly swirrled.
