Technically yesterday but treated the Eddy to a major service and some upgrades:
- spark plugs
- DSG service
- oil & filters
- new front shock
- top mount
- ball joint
- dipstick
- Ecs subframe locking kit
- vibratechincs dogbone bush & new OEM dogbone & bolts
- racingline ALK (although the bushes were stamped “SuperPro”)
- tracking
Car drives like new and the turn in is pinpoint. All the front creaks, knocks and groans have now gone and the gearbox no longer lurches into first (which I think was the result of a knackered dogbone mount bush). Take off from a standstill is also much quicker, again I think the ‘box was moving in the slack of the old bush.
- also changed the cam follower (no record of it being changed by PO and after all the recent chat on here was keen to get it swapped). Old one was fine after 95k miles. Phew!!
Finally, MoT which passed no advisories.
R-tech remap next on the list once I’ve changed the PCV & hoses which have seen better days.
