Just ordered new alloys not sure how there going to look and went for 17s

Very nice. They remind me of the old RH Alurad ZW1 wheels, which looked fantastic on MK5s  :happy2:  I used to have some and I can tell you the polished lips corrode to f'ck very quickly, so you'll be wanting to keep on top of the waxing and minimising winter salt driving.
What wax would you use on the wheels

Had it mapped, bought a OEM+ stage 2 from Awesome in the Black Friday sale. It made 265 as it has a boost leak. Doesn't feel all that different now so I'm a bit disapointed.

Wonder if this was the problem I had the 9ther morning.  Felt like rear left was binding on for few miles then after that it was fine.

MOT. After 17 years of ownership, I usually crap myself about MOTs however this time round, I had a read of everything they test and thought there was no need to worry. Anyhow, the car gets to live a bit longer until Sadiq Khan kills the euro4 ULEZ exemption.

Big boy 6 of course   I did at least want something approaching ED30 performance, but double the mpg

It slid into my garden wall during the snowy period, which cost LV= £5K to repair

Before and after shots. They did a good job to be fair. It's a hard colour to match.

So when changing drop links for the MOT I found an old PCV valve in the front bumper, owned the car two years and even had a cambelt change at VW and never been picked up before or heard a thing while driving.

Anyway nearside droplink was fine. The offside lower bolt was rounded off inside at the spline head and the nut was tight, really f****** tight. Impossible for me to get off with breaker bar, two sets of mole grips and penetrating oil . Going to have another go at it next weekend

Been getting a lot of creak/rumble noises from the passenger front recently at low speed and over bumps.......thought it was the ARBS or top mounts (all replaced about 3 years ago), but still the same after replacing just the ARBS and there was no play in steering and strut like when they are shot.

Then thought it may be the rack being a 2005 but the original rack is still solid and tight, then moved to check the bushes as poly'd them all being the only thing I could think of that was left.

DRY BUSHES!!! :signLOL:

Cleaned and lubricated them all, and noises are all gone.....silence is golden

Installed a new brake light switch. On a LHD car I'm sure it's an easy job, not so much on a RHD!

I'd like to meet the person that decided to change the design and bury it on the bottom of the master cylinder...
