Gearbox out and stripped and bolts drilled out ready for the quaife…lots of parts arriving this week so hoping it’ll all be done and fitted by the weekend! Haven’t done one of these before so pretty interesting taking it all apart!

And how many times exactly did you drive back and forth on the lay-by until it rolled over??

I replaced both radiator fans today.  Not to difficult to do, but did manage to snap one bolt, which is now stuck.  I don't like bodges, but I'll have to think of a way of securing the shroud to the rad in the top right corner.

Finished today but took several weeks to get parts. What started off as a simple job replacing headlight bulb as I had warning in dash ended up to be much bigger job. Turns out my igniter for my NS xenon blew. Could not get easy access so ended up taking apart front end to get headlight out. Figured I might as well swap over all the bulbs whilst it’s out. So took both headlights out.

The replacement igniter that I bought was aftermarket (OEM on left and aftermarket on right) and no matter how I tried I couldn’t get it to fit. So sent that back and in end bought OEM.

Whilst the bumper was off notice washer fluid leaking - turns out it was a small o-ring on the connector from the washer bottle to the headlight washers. Didn’t know size of o-ring so just bought replacement connector and fitted that. No leaks and all put back together. All headlights now work. It’s a good job it’s not my daily!!!

I was on 999998 miles so I used google maps to find a lay-by 2 miles away :signLOL: should have given the dash a dust before I took the photo!

Since fitting the LSD my standard console bushes have decided to pretty much disintegrate. No idea how long they’ve been on for (I’m assuming they’ve been changed at some point.

I tried to free off the dreaded bolts…near side…all came undone with some heat and persuasion. Off side…not so much lol.

Tonight I finished off tackling the friendlier side. Wishbone removed and bushes taken off/pressed out. Wishbone rubbed back and painted with satin black tough paint. Poly bushes fitted and arm refitted with new bolts…making sure to use anti seize!

I’ve got a brand new second hand subframe bracket to fit to the off side so will probably tackle that tomorrow as well as getting the wishbone looking a bit better to match the near side.

As it stands I’ve got a snapped bolt and the other one is going the same way…huge, huge joy! Lol
