Then Mr Saint's suggestion might be worth taking up. I had the white line you get with aftermarket tints.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

Do you still get the white strip issue on the side windows that you get on the back?

If that black edging is still present stealthy, then it will always be there. it's Air preventing the tint from sitting flush to the glass causing the white ring from a screen tint on the rear screen only.

Gave it a wash out of a spray bottle (megs quick detail spray) to get it back to nice and gleaming

...but noticed a slight dent in the roof, very slight but still I know it is there - it will probably push out easily if the roof is generally an easy panel to push dents out from

HOWEVER worse was when I noticed some Cnut has somehow hooked something under the front wheel arch on the drivers side and pulled it out slightly so the arch as you look down the length of the car no longer runs true, theres a bit of a bulge to it and if you look beneath the arch just above the tyre where the wheel arch bulges you can see where the bodywork has been hooked and pulled down into a bit of a point removing all the paint work in a 1cm diameter

Honestly which cnuts do these things?!!  :scared: :fighting: :fighting:

Been driving in the lake district! Kendal to Grizedale Forrest via Ambeside and Hawkshead. We then went for some drinks at Skelwith Bridge then finally back home at Oxenholme!

Went to Camber today and to the beach, got there via some excellent A and B roads and despite a pretty spirited drive in parts still managed to clock over 34mpg on the way there, on the way back we had a couple of stops and at one point having waited for a car to turn right we went from 0-60 using warp factor 7 but still managed 30mpg which can't be sniffed at in my book for such a thoroughly pleasurable drive. Oh and having had the vreds on for a year now I'd say they were a high quality tyre - very planted, great grip and you always get excellent feedback from them :driver:

Cruised to Portsmouth down to JKM and pick up my new wheels. An Aston Martin DBS... Managed 40.6 mpg on the M27...trully shocking for a 300bhp Edition 30.

Shame the Aston Martin takes AA battery's

Went for a drive, shades on, sun out, windows down and the sunroof popped. That on some good flowing roads and added DSG pops, stuff like this makes me REALLY happy at the mo.
