That looks smart against the carbon!!

Yeah considering that and satin blacking the black part to hide the crack... will see how it goes...

Fitted some wee DSG paddle shift extender to my ED30 today - really happy with them!

They're a really good fit and quality build - only £30 on ebay too inc. postage.

....Wow! Those are a fraction of what I paid for my very similar carbon TID ones. They are real carbon aren't they?

Do they stick on with pads?

Paddle extensions really make a difference. A very underestimated mod, IMO.

I don't think they're real CF. Maybe they are but not sure. Quality and figment were spot on though. Came with tape cut to size too!

....Not that it matters but looking very closely at your pic, the 'carbon' weave is irregular and that always suggests real carbon (unless it's the perfect weave of a Zonda!). There are many kinds of real carbonfibre. Also, I think yours are carbon insets on the face only whereas the TID's are solid carbon laminates. Again, this doesn't lessen how nice yours are - Nice find.

For comparison, here's a pic of my real carbon TID very much more expensive paddle extensions:

I was look at getting these as they look brilliant but just couldn't justify the price. Those ebay ones look decent for the price :happy2:

This weekend I brought my car home from the paint shop after having my Votex Roof Spoiler bonded on. The shop had also painted my rear GTI valance (half of it), my front Votex valance and my 3D Boot Badge. We had lovely 20 degree sunshine all Saturday and today so I managed to fit both front and rear valances.

Also purchased a 30 byte Highend CECM from a member on here and have just finished fitting it. Have now coded in Fogs as DRL's and Cornering Lights.  :happy2:
First time doing major surgery inside my car (except the stereo retrofit) and it took about an hour to strip down the lower dash, remove old CECM, fit new one and code. A few dash lights but they all disappereared after a 30 second drive.  :happy2:

Will update my build thread with pics, etc. Click on the pic in my signature for the latest on the car.

All in all a productive weekend.

....Whether expensive TDI's or good value for money, paddle extensions are an extremely good mod and one you will always be happy you did.
