Had an 'enthusiastic convoy' with a young lass in a modded Mk4 in white with a black roof. She was just about keeping up with my boggo standard MK5, so I reckon she must have beeen a remapped 1.8T.

Hope to catch her again after Thursday when I hope to be around the 240 bhp mark, after my delayed visit to Storm Developments.

Fun Golf: 2016 mk7 R DSG 3 door. Work Golf: 2015 mk7 1.4 TSI GT ACT 5 door.
Gone but not forgotten : mk2 Golf GTI 16v, mk4 Golf V6 4Motion, mk5 GTI Storm Developments Stage 1, mk5 GTI Revo Stage 1, BMW 330ci, Skoda Octavia VRS Revo Stage 2, BMW Z4 Sdrive35i.

Driving quickly is always fun. :-) ( unless you've got a 'Laura' in the passenger seat constantly saying 'you make me feel sick') :-)

Ha ha ha ha.......i get that too from a "Jade"......strange that  :driver:

You're not stalking VAG Babes in nice cars again are you, Ian!?

I had a play with a guy in a black TTS on my drive home yesterday. He started off by tailgating me and didn't seem to want to slow to 40 mph in a built-up area. So I waited for my shoulders to reach the NSL (GLF Go Like Feck) sign before booting it and he stayed with me but was far too close to my rear for comfort so I slowed and indicated for him to pass. He didn't seem to want to but I forced him by where it was safe and off he went with me chasing at a good braking distance. To my surprise he didn't manage to get away until later he very foolishly overtook a car in front across a double white line! :stupid: Although it was completely clear ahead there was no way I was going to cross a double white line except to save myself in an absolute emergency. I got my opportunity to safely overtake the car and then caught him up but turned off at a junction.

I really am lucky that my daughter (21yo) is such a cool passenger (she needed the support of that Recaro seat yesterday!) but took the opportunity to educate her by pointing out the stupidity of him ignoring the road markings. One of her friends though loves speed and I have to tell her never to encourage a driver to go faster. She squeaks and giggles, I must say rather too attractively for being good for me but I discipline myself (and my driving!).

Have an led light out in the 3rd center brake light ;[
Thanks to the design, that means I will have to replace the spoiler as well as the light, including paint.
I don't get why VW did not make that light removable separately from the spoiler???

Have a read of this thread, should help.  :happy2:

Plus this one

http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=121067.0

Thank YOU! As mentioned in one of the threads, "What have I got to lose?"
It does appear there is an issue with the re-install being exactly solid as there is mention of adding double-sided adhesive tape. Hmmm?

'Reading for a rainy day':
My original 3rd light was replaced shortly after I bought my MKV in Nov. 2006. The car had 78 miles on it and the third brake light was out. They pulled off the spoiler and replaced the whole thing  :jumping: . I couldn't believe my brand new car was already in need of having work done to it.
Also, the center dash diffuser vent was dented. It was replaced at the same time.
During that process the trim around the vent was scratched. So I went back and had that trim replaced.
Then the trim below it, around the stereo was chunked up badly.
So I had to go back for that one, but the trim finish had changed so all of the center dash trim bits needed to be ordered and then replaced.
So when it went back for all of those to be installed, a tech opened the passenger door too carelessly and took out a chunk from the door strip.
So then that strip needed to be replaced and painted.
I think I had my new car for less than a week of that 1st month ;[ BTW, I've never returned to that dealership since then.

Any thoughts/feedback/reports from those with an upgraded front ARB along with the rear ARB would be appreciated greatly...thinking of finishing off my mods with that bit.

Drove another 290 very spirited miles on old fashioned A-roads after passing MOT @ JKM. Dare I say that in 7 years of ownership she has never failed an MOT or even had an Advisory  :notworthy:

Mine is seven years old now aswell and never had a problem with M.O.T's. Although with the one I just had I did get an advisory on a split front cv joint cover. Just done nearly 4,000 miles driving to Estonia and back since that though so I should get round to sorting that soon really!
