Went down with top chap 'Monte' Carlo and Bob to AKS tuning so he could get a couple of goodies and I could rinse the dust off the car and see my bonnet and steering wheel for the first time  :jumping:

Bob

Fitting the boot pop

Have to say this works better on Carlos car than it did on my Leon with the Fabia struts.  My boot was super stiff to close and didnt open quite high enough but works perfectly on Carlos

All done, wonder what's been fitted....  :innocent:

I didnt think to get a pic of the grin on Carlos face as they came back in from the test drive but it was funny
Was hillarious that Alex said put 'yer foot down during testing  and Carlo did so and just waited for the command to slow down  :driver:

Rinsing the dust off the Cupra

She's long overdue a full on detail  :sad1:  Cant wait to get her all in top condition

Massive thanks to Carlo for the lift down!  :notworthy: :notworthy:

Went to GotBoost Performance in Bridgend South Wales to [finally] take advantage of the Revo 20% offer. Now at Stage 2 engine and stage 1 DSG - WOW!! :driver: :star: What a difference to the car - it just pulls like a train ... and it still got a small boost leak somewhere.

Took it for a drive after the opening ceremony and it was brilliant -  :drinking:!!

Thursday my baby is getting a Twintake installed, oil service and smoke test to sort the small leak ... then its Chassis time!

Really good to get my baby sorted after a fuel pressure issue, i/c replaced and no more CEL!!!!!!!!

Only boring stuff i'm afraid. Replaced the faulty drivers side seat belt stalk as you had to move the buckle to stop the buzzer going off. Not too bad a job, only took about an hour it could have been done in less time if i hadn't been talking with the neighbour!

I popped down to the Awesome gti show to have a look around and buy myself a powerflex lower engine mount insert. I took me an hour from leaving my house, to getting there and having a look around, then getting home agian! Just wasn my cup of tea! Too much bling!

Anyway I got home and fitted the mount, only took 5 mins, and that included unbolting it once as I forgot one of the washers! Doh!

I also repaired the crack in my downpipe to stop it rattling and banging around!

No after pic as I'm embarrassed with my welding! If it was off the car I could of done a decent weld but access was limited and welding upside down without a mask is very awkward! And the reason for no mask was that there was no room for me to wear one! :(

I got these working yesterday:

They look bloody fantastic, the standard mod on these is really good, I've got the led ones and have sent them off to Romania to be modded at jls tuning, but just using the OEM lights really looks good. Why was it never standard!!
Loads of extra's and retro fits.

Cleaned up the interior a treat. Left the windows down for everything to dry. Went into the garage to put things away and hear a rattle. Cue sudden downpour. Closed the windows via the remote but it was too late. Rain all over the doorcards and seats.

The GTI isn't just a machine. It's very much a living, breathing thing.

The bonnet went on after Gti international (end jun early July?)

The boot pop works great on the mk5  takes a bit more work on the Leon

Bob does look a young pup when he is clipped short, but he is actually 11yrs old.

He is my best mate in the world.
